Chad Britt turns complex industrial and digital systems into practical, reliable solutions that help manufacturing organizations improve plant performance.
With over two decades of cross-industry experience in industrial automation, OT cybersecurity, and data engineering, Chad brings a rare combination of domain knowledge and hands-on technical depth to data‑enabled business initiatives.
Chad’s early career experience at a bioscience startup taught him to take initiative, solve problems quickly, and communicate clearly – three core principles he has followed throughout his career. Another key principle is maximum impact – delivering technically sound and practical solutions that are connected to business goals for operators, engineers, and leadership.
Prior to joining Apperture Solutions, Chad served as Digital Solutions & Cybersecurity Manager at dsm-firmenich, where he developed a comprehensive digital manufacturing roadmap and led buildout from the ground up for the organization’s regional data and OT cybersecurity strategies and programs.
Chad’s technical specialties include:
- Designing OT‑to‑cloud data pipelines
- Integrating DeltaV, SQL, Modbus, and PI Historian data into unified models
- Implementing Level 3.5/4 data brokers for contextualized data ingestion
- Enabling machine‑learning workflows for yield, quality, and reliability
- Implementing foundational cybersecurity standards in support of safe and impactful data enablement architectures
A lifelong learner who loves to share his knowledge, Chad holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University and is completing a Master of Science in Analytics at Georgia Tech. As a key player in the Apperture mission to support clients through Industry 4.0 adoption, OT/IT convergence, secure data architecture, and large-scale automation modernization, he is passionate about helping customers build data foundations and achieve their business goals.
